Our history
Ashcroft Homes began at the hands of David Choo, an engineer by trade and an innovator at heart. Since being founded in 1992, Ashcroft Homes has grown, now including the subsidiary brands of Alavida Lifestyles senior residences and the newly built Envie student residence.

DAVID CHOO is the visionary entrepreneur behind the 23- year success of Ottawa’s Ashcroft Homes, a trusted developer of communities for every stage of life. As an alumni of Carleton University, David understands what students need. He delivers a complete living experience, from Envie student living; to family communities such as Ottawa’s top neighbourhood Central Park; to Alavida Lifestyles, full- spectrum retirement communities.
